Red Hat and Microsoft have signed reciprocal agreements to enable increased interoperability for the companies’ virtualization platforms. Each company will join the other’s virtualization validation/certification program and will provide technical support for their mutual server virtualization customers.

VMware Fusion 2 now supports Ubuntu 8.10 guests
VMware Fusion 2.0.2 is a maintenance release of VMware Fusion 2 for Apple Mac OS/X.
It now supports Ubuntu 8.10 as a guest operating system, including features such as VMware Tools with prebuilt kernel modules, Easy Install, and Unity.

rPath are replacing their Group Builder with Products
rPath is fixing a lot of bugs by replacing the old “Group Builder” web interface in rBuilder Online with a new feature “Products”.
The new Product feature solves similar problem in a different way. It is a better way, but since it’s different, anyone who has used Group Builder and become accustomed to it will have a few changes to make.
